Pauline Nowakowski

Pauline Nowakowski was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1960. Her love for acting began on the stage.  She was intoxicated by the sound of the audience’s applause at age of eight years old.  Pauline’s talents include singing, dancing, playing the piano, writing, and producing short Indie films with her production company “Dark Horses Productions” but performing as an actor was her true calling. 

 After raising her three sons, at the age of 51, she decided to make this long-awaited dream come true.   She took acting and improvisation classes and began working on Independent Films and a several stage plays, before taking the plunge into featured films and commercial work.   She has worked on Cleveland Abduction, Criminal Activities, Madtown, The Land, Little Evil, and Fast 8 just to name a few.     

Pauline has many accomplishments:  over 50 IMDb Credits as an actor, 25 as a Producer, 16 as a writer, 7 as a director and 80 more ranging from location manager, crew, set design and more.   

Pauline enjoys collaboration with others and working on their film projects, as well as bringing on new members to her team as well.   

Pauline is a student at Cuyahoga Community College working on her second-degree; Visual Communications – Photography.  She is taking classes to enhance her camera skills.  She has taken classes for editing, audio, drone classes and is continuously adding more skills to her “film toolbox.” 

Pauline still juggles a full-time job and family but continues to be an active member in the Cleveland Film Community.  Pauline is an original founding member of the “Woman in Film and Television Ohio”-WIFTOH.  She continues to produce “Award Winning” short films, that screen at International and Domestic Film Festivals since 2012.
